    Dr. Brendan Stones is the Subject Leader for Mathematics at Radnor House School. He has extensive A-level teaching experience, most recently at Hills Road Sixth Form College, the UK’s leading sixth form centre, where he taught both Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Prior to this he tutored Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh.

    David Paton                        
    BComm (Hons) PGCE MA

    Tutor of Economics

     

     

     
    David Paton is the Head and Proprietor of Radnor House School. He has taught Economics at A-Level for eight years, most recently as Head of Economics and Head of Sixth Form at Harrodian School.  Prior to this he was a classroom teacher and manager at the prestigious Dulwich College in South East London. His examination track record is enviable with an average of 84% A*-B over the past ten years.
     
         

     

    Dr Andrew Graham                         
    PhD

    Tutor of Chemistry

     

     

     
    Dr Andrew Graham has taught Chemistry at A-Level for fifteen years, most recently as Head of Chemistry at Harris City Academy Crystal Palace.  Prior to this he was a classroom teacher and Deputy Head of Sixth Form in Bromley.  All last year’s (2011) A level Chemistry students at Harris City Academy passed with 50% gaining A* - B.
     
         

     

    Rajiv Joshi    
    BSc (Hons) PGCE                       

    Tutor of Physics

     

     

    Rajiv Joshi teaches Physics at Harris City Academy Crystal Palace. The School’s Physics department sees consistently good results, due in part to their regular and well attended study support and catch up sessions.
    Rajiv has also worked with the University of Bristol and the Institute of Physics to increase student engagement in Physics.

     
         

     

     

    Lisa Rosenquist
    BSc (Hons) PGCE

    Tutor of Biology

      

     

     
    Lisa Rosenquist is the Subject Leader for Science at Radnor House School. She has taught Biology and Human Biology at A-Level for seven years, most recently as an Advanced Skills Teacher at Harris City Academy Crystal Palace where she also trained other teachers in this practice. Prior to this she was Head of Biology at Formby High School. Lisa has consistently worked with post-16 students to result in an average of 78% of students gaining their target grade or higher, successfully working with a wide range of abilities and learning barriers throughout her career.
     
     

 

Kate Ryan                         
BA (Joint Hons) PGCE

Tutor of Modern Languages

 

 

 
Kate Ryan has prepared students in AS, A level, IB  and the AP Programme and her students have gone on to study at Oxbridge, Russell Group Universities, Ivy League and leading international universities.  Currently, Kate leads the Languages Department at Radnor House School promoting academic engagement and creating new and innovative ways to approach languages. She teaches French, Spanish, Japanese and Latin.
 
     

 

Philippa Studd 
BA (Hons) PGCE                       

Tutor of Modern Languages

 

 

Philippa Studd is currently teaching Spanish AS and A2 at Chesterfield High School, Liverpool before starting her new role at Radnor House in September.  Last year, Philippa’s AS class gained a 100% A-B pass rate and she hopes to achieve similar success with her current students.  Previously to working in Liverpool, Philippa lived and worked in Spain, teaching English in a Spanish Primary School in Córdoba, Andalucía.

Stephen Carrington                        
BA (Hons) PGCE

Tutor of English Literature

 

 

 
Stephen Carrington is the Subject Leader for English at Radnor House School. He has taught English and English Literature for seven years. Stephen has five years’ experience in the independent sector and was most recently at St. Dunstan’s College, where he was IB Co-ordinator as well as teaching AQA AS Level.  Prior to this he was Head of English and Literacy Co-ordinator at St. Mary’s Independent School in Colchester.   Stephen has also taught A Level English Literature within the state sector and has achieved consistently impressive results.
 
     

 

Rebecca Emberey 
BA (Hons) PGCE                       

Tutor of Geography

 

 

Rebecca Emberey has a BA Geography and PGCE (Secondary Geography) from
Exeter University. She has taught Geography and Environmental Science
for A Level and International Baccalaureate since 2008. Rebecca was
appointed as Head of Geography last year and now leads a flourishing
department.
